Software Used to Send Text Messages
The URL in your text messages is what is known as a URL shortener used in SMS marketing to shorten a long URL.
Did you receive a text message?
The link in your text message is provided by DailyStory, a global software company that powers emails and texts for leading companies. If you received a text message from one of DailyStory’s clients, it likely included a link such as “txts4.me” or may have used another domain owned by the client. DailyStory’s software uses this link to redirect you to the webpage that is most relevant for you (e.g. an exclusive sale or discount).
Did the link ask for a one time password?
If the link you clicked on asked for a 4 or 6 digit code, known as a one time password (OTP) you will receive a separate text message with that OTP. Some of our clients use a OTP to prevent link sharing.
