Email Headers

definition

An email header, also known as the message header, is a section at the beginning of an email that contains detailed technical information about the message. It includes metadata such as the sender’s and recipient’s email addresses, the subject line, date and time of transmission, and information about the email servers that handled the message’s delivery. The email header is typically not visible in the main body of the email and is primarily used for system-level communication and troubleshooting purposes.
