Opt-out

definition

What does opt-out mean?

When you “opt out,” you are choosing to not participate or to withdraw from something, such as email marketing or SMS marketing. It means that you are declining or refusing to be included in a particular activity or to receive certain information or services.

For example, if you receive marketing emails from a company and they provide an option to “opt out,” it means you can choose to unsubscribe from their emails, and they will no longer send you marketing messages.

In summary, “opt out” means to voluntarily decline or choose not to participate or receive something, often by taking specific action to remove yourself from a list or service. When you “opt in,” you are actively agreeing or giving your consent to join or participate in something
