DailyStory ships with pre-built rules — points when a contact is created, when they click a link in an email or text, and when they reply to a text message. Integration-based rules award points for orders in Shopify and WooCommerce. You can also build custom rules, or award points directly through the JavaScript and REST APIs.

Yes. Reward tiers are achievement levels based on the points a member has accumulated — for example Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Tiers are fully integrated with DailyStory segmentation, so each tier becomes a segment you can target with its own campaigns, automations, and perks. Members move between tiers automatically as their point balance changes.

Redemption is handled by your team in DailyStory. Search for the contact, verify their details — name, email, phone, address, birthdate — and enter the number of points to redeem. Once confirmed, the points are deducted from their balance and the member automatically receives a confirmation email.

Yes. You control the rules: set a point expiration policy, schedule automatic point resets, cap the maximum points a single contact can hold, and decide whether points are transferable between contacts. These settings let you run your program exactly the way your business needs.

Yes. There are two APIs. The non-authenticated JavaScript API works from your website and requires the DailyStory Beacon to be installed. The authenticated REST API works from any system and requires an API token and the contact’s dsid. Either one lets you award points for actions DailyStory doesn’t track natively.

Access is controlled by three permission levels. View lets a user see member balances and program activity. Redeem adds the ability to redeem points for a contact. Manage grants full control — earn rules, tiers, the reward store, and program configuration. Assign whichever level fits each team member.
